Yes that is the pattern and I had again and again but the adjoining clues for 10a are 1d What an exciting finish to the cheltenham Festival and 2 d. is rebate and 3d is midas and 4d is name which all seem correct. I have again for 22a. hope thismakes sense to you

I assume that mise is happy with the first AGAIN (for 22a) and that leaves
her with for 10a ?N?N? A?N, by which I assume she meant ?N? N?A?N. For that to be AND AGAIN the N would have to become an A. Where does that N come from, mise- is that the MEAN because that looks okay?

Does the A come from Rebate? I don't know the clue for that one
Matbe there is a simple explanation such as mise has transposed two letters in the grid- (eg GRNAD or STNAD)
