1) 9/11 - 2nd Plane hitting twin towers

2) Landing on the Moon

3) Tsunami

4) JFK Assassinated

5) 1966 World Cup

Good point about the picture of history being cut up to fit the frame of ITV's existence; It reduces the whole of human history into a Channel 4 style top 100, the implication being that if it didn't appear on TV, it wasn't important.All of the top 5 are post WWII and 2 are from the last 5 years. And if you are not English, or a football fan, how important is 1966 (and all that)?
