Haven't seen any comments about this - I am gutted its the last one next week. I think its been brilliant, fast moving and well made with each week covering a different aspect of the trial. One of the best programmes I have seen for a long time.
Couldn't agree more.
Remember it happening at the time but had no idea of the depth and complexity of the trial, and can see how the jury voted innocent. The prosecution had everything and yet somehow managed to totally screw it up.
Not a fan of John Travolta but he is excellent in this.
My only disappointment is Cuba Gooding Jr. His range of emotions swing from childish and petulant to being totally out of his depth.
Deserves all awards going.
I agree and don't understand why a lot of my friends haven't watched it. It is really really interesting and all the actors are great especially John Travolta. I shall be sorry to see it end next week and am hoping for a guilty verdict!
Totally agree with your appraisal of OJ Simpson v The People. They could conceivably make at least two more series: the second one could dramatis his civil trial in which he was found guilty and ordered to pay the families of Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman; a third episode could feature his robbery trial in 2007/8 where he was found guilty of theft. OJ is the gift that keeps on giving.
I have been gripped by this, but like Jennykenny I'm not impressed with Cuba Gooding Junior. I think he is very weak, and his voice is too squeaky!
Found the way Bobby Kardashian went from complete belief in OJ to being so doubtful, that he seemed to be tortured by it, fascinating.
Will miss my Monday night "fix" when it ends next week.
It's totally gripping, loving it. I agree, John Travolta is wonderful in this, his face almost expressionless, but nevertheless speaking a thousand words. Will miss it after it ends next week.
I do know the outcome Bazile, not that blond but just hoping that common sense may prevail and amaze us at the end totally unexpected! Great episode last night.
I will always remember reading before the trial started - there are only two things you need to know about this case. 1 is that he did it and 2 is that he is going to get away with it.
It's been a fascinating series and I don't think many people watching it can still be of the opinion that he didn't do it.
The only duff-note, for me, has been Cuba Gooding, Jnr. He just doesn't have the 'physicality' of OJ and in a programme where they have gone to great lengths to get the correct 'lookilikee-ness' of the main protagonists it has been a bit of a distraction.
