The Strangest Thing Found In Your Fridge.

I know the seasons may have shifted two months because of the El Nino effect and that we are having unseasonal winter-like weather but Christmas has come around again in this household.

I have just been to the fridge and found three Christmas cards standing there on the middle shelf....... I know it's cold out there, but......

What is/are the strangest things ever found in your fridge (or elsewhere) as a result of the various forms of dementia?

My mother lost her rolling pin some years ago. It was eventually found in the freezer.

Nice ones, it is strange though, sometimes very amusing - one of the best ones that I have heard was from a family carer - they (she and hub) had hidden her mother's jewellery - anyway about 2 years later, her husband poured out some of the contents of a kidney beans jar, or was it cous-cous, and a sapphire ring popped out. They had forgotten that they had hidden it in there!

Food, I hate shopping it's always empty. Truth.

When I let my brother move in years ago, he had put sudacrem (I think it was called) in the fridge... he never did it again, and thankfully off drugs now.

My brother once made himself a cup of tea, then couldn't find it.

He found it, stone cold, a few hours later in the fridge.

That's brothers for you.

Once went shopping, came home and unpacked. Next day I noticed a pint of milk on the bathroom shelf and a packet of toilet rolls in the fridge.

I found a credit card in the freezer once. I had lost it so got it blocked and reissued. Months later I found it stuck to a joint of beef.

Well working with advanced dementia I have found may things in strange places, the two that stick in my mind.
A new carer left her handbag in the wrong place, she put her hand in her bag to find one of our ladies a

Too many times to admit - coffee in the fridge, milk in the cupboard. Quite often check the fridge when I've lost my mobile (only found it in their once, though). Also found scissors and polish recently. Many years ago when I lived with my Grandad, I was issued with some fungal cream that had to be chilled. He mistook it for a tube of Primula. I hope he's up there laughing now, but I never did have the guts to tell him why his sandwich tasted off!
