How dire was this?! They may well have spent a small fortune on each episode, but, alas, none of it seemed to have gone on the script, which was toe-curlingly awful. The king talking about his brother 'having my back', and lots of other glaring anachronisms just made the whole thing laughable; as did the totally gratuitous violence and sex - which wasn't even very sexy. A prize turkey.
