Peggy's Funeral - Eastenders

With all the hype of Peggy's death, they now seem to have forgotten about it, spending all the airtime on Bobby Beale (yawn).

So when is Peggy's funeral going to be? Would have thought they would have had it by now. But there's been no mention.

In the case of a death other than by natural causes, a funeral can't be held until the coroner agrees to release the body. That can sometimes be many months after the death occurred.

I was on holiday so missed Peggy's death. Did she die at home or in hospital/hospice?

My uncle died at home and they kept the body for over a month. My dad died in a hospice and the funeral date was set that day.

she did hari kari (pills) in Phils spare bedroom..rather than go the distance with terminal cancer

Suicide then, which would explain why they're keeping the body.

Oh really, I didn't know that. My Dad died at home and they released the body next day.

Was he ill?

My dad died of cancer. My uncles death was unexpected, he wasn't actually ill so a cause of death had to be established.

My 40 yrs nephew died alone in hiss mums house and she was away in Spain and as he worked voluntarily he wasn't missed. He was eventually found and it was finally an unexplained death but they didn't release the body for 7 months.

My Uncle wasn't found for a few days. I assume it was because of his age that his body was released quicker (he was 67)

No Ummmm my Dad wasn't Ill, he was fine the day before but just had a heart attack and never recovered.
