Childrens Drama Group Q
4 Answers
Hi,
Just wondering how often a children's drama group would usually put on a show?
My daughter goes to a local youth drama group and the last time they put on a show was end of August last year.
Although she likes to go, at £56 a term it isn't cheap and she doesn't seem to be getting much out of it.
They have a really good drama/performing arts department at her school (secondary) and there are after school clubs she could join for nothing.
It's not so much the cost rather than getting something out of it. I would like her to go to the school one but she is not a change bunny.

Children were also encouraged to join in the Staff Pantos each year
Staff also did at least one straight play each year
Students and staff worked together on set building, lighting, props, stage management prompts and costumes
Students controlled the lighting for Staff productions. They were also involved in design and printing of programmes and tickets and got a grounding in Health and Safety and Fire requirements. Cost, only time and enthusiasm, years 2 to 10. Not bad for an ordinary Comprehensive
