Poor max the German shepherd last night, the RSPCA inspector was in tears, as was I. How can people be so evil?

I just heard about this from a friend who watched the dog rescuers last night, absolutely disgusted and they only got a 5 year ban, they should have been banned for life. I cannot believe the cruelty to animals that goes on in this world of ours.
I didn't see the programme - tend to avoid them as have been involved for most of my life in animal welfare here and in Africa. The mind set of people who abuse animals is unfathomable to 'normal people' -all we can do is remain vigilante, brave enough to report abuse and encourage the ethos of spey and neuter. I realise this mainly helps small animals but it is something everyone can do.
That's why I very watch this type of program I get so upset at times that I want to go out and inflict some serious pain on somebody.
I passed a very heavily tattooed guy some weeks ago and he had like baby greyhounds who were jumping excitedly. One of the dogs just came over to me. I turned round and the guy got his fist and dug it into the dog's face. I screamed at him - don't do that. He said mind your own business - I will hit it if I want - he has to learn.

I still haven't got over it. God help the dumb animals.
Jenny, did you call the police? :(
I was afraid of him. Terrible character.
Luckily, this darker side of humanity is not so common, as against the millions of good pet owners.
Jenny, I'd have got a brick and buried it in his head. Or at least tried to take the dog off him.
