I am not a huge fan of Greg Wallace. nor of his woman co-presenter, who I find irritating in the extreme !

But having been a fan of Swizzles products for 63 years, I did enjoy last night !

Really? My OH was watching it and I kept looking up thinking "Why the heck are you watching people work in a factory?"

Come on Jo....didn't you eat lots of sweets when you were a kid !
Yes, it was very interesting seeing how they were all made.
Yes, mikey.
It's just that my OH watches all kinds of programmes about people only doing their jobs; in airports, as policemen, as dustmen, firemen, pawn brokers, whatever. I just assumed this was another boring old thing on the same tack.

This programme was obviously more interesting than those.

Fab though sweets are, they are the prime cause of my loss of teeth over the years....my parents had a sweet shop in the 60's and my three brothers and myself only have about 5 teeth between us !

I like all the old-fashioned ones...pineapple chunks, sherbet lemons, cough-candy, liquorice, ....have to rely on sugar-free ones now though, due to diabetes !
Chocolate covered raisins - I could eat them by the ton. Give me a skip full of them and I would have to forget that I am diabetic.

I'm not crazy about sweets nowadays, I prefer savoury things.
But I do like Love Hearts. I eat them at work to keep me going.
My grandson just came back from some wildlife centre somewhere and brought me back a box of otter's poo!!
Chocolate covered raisins they were, and like wolf63, I can't resist them.

'' people doing their jobs ''

Well , isn't that what all of us do - from the girl serving in greggs ( other bakeries are available ) to the actors in eastenders .

So , don't you watch any television ?

Mikey - what are the drumstick lollies actually made of? I couldn't even describe to someone what the texture was like.

It will soon be cat treat time here - before bed. Frankie is on a diet and refuses to eat the diet treats. He scoops them up in his mouth, waits a minute or two then spits them out onto the floor. Then he starts crying for his Dreamies. The Dreamies cost about £20 per kg - scary !!
