Has anyone watched the first episode of the new series?

Nor sure if I've missed something, but, there was no mention made of how series 2 ended. It was left wide open and demands an explanation.

I watched this the other night. My recollection is that Arabela explained to the new guy that after Louis Daniel was murdered, the team was broken up. Carl Hickman went home and she ( Arabela) was doing investigative work for the ICC. No mention of Tommy. Eva had, essentially, left the team by the end of Series 2. I often wish that since many series have significant gaps between the end of one and the beginning of the next - there should be a résumé at the start of the next series. Game of Thrones does this as a separate programme but it is very complex. Some memory jogging would be good!

At the end of series 2, Dorn went into Eva's hotel room and looked horrified. What did he see? Is Eva dead? What was the scene in the room?

I think it's very, very annoying not to finalise a character's role properly.

That being said, I'm enjoying the eye candy that is Costanzo and think that the first episode was very good.
