Well I think they will need to go to Kent to get the opinions of all the illegals, or find themselves in from of the ECHR no doubt.
I really dont see why the Scottish have to be asked. As you say it is being done as part of the UK of which they are in.
If they want to leave then fine, lets get dome polish builders in to put Hadians wall back up plus a few feet.

TTT even you must be very well aware that Scotland voted to remain in the EU by 62% to 38%. The SNP hold all but 2 Scottish seats and are determined for Scotland to remain part of the EU! If they hold another independence referendum as expected, they will then vote to join the EU in their own right.
That would split the UK apart with a land border with the EU for the first time in history. Theresa May has stated that there must be a solution to the 'Scottish problem' before A50 can be triggered!
But of course you already know all of this, yet persist in asking these questions. Obviously it is all down to 'sour grapes'!!!

"David Davis is due to meet his Scottish government counterpart Michael Russell."
David Davis does not have a counterpart in the Scottish government. David Davis is the Secretary of State for [the UK] exiting the EU. Mr Russell is Minister for UK Negotiations on Scotland's Place in Europe. Quite how, unless they vote for independence (which the polls show is increasingly unlikely), the Scots expect to have a different “Place” in Europe to the rest of the UK is somewhat unclear. Quite why they need a Minister to negotiate that place in equally obscure.

Regardless of what Scotland decides to do, Eddie, the UK will have a land border with the EU post Brexit – the one between Northern Ireland and Ireland.
