For some bizarre reason, there is a massive amount of viewers who derive entertainment from watching nominally famous people ill-treating live animals, and in turn being ill-treated themselves.
Personally, I think animal cruelty for entertainment is immoral, and the unprepossessing nature of the animals involved does not negate their right not to be eaten alive so that watching adults can view through their fingers.
But there are millions who do, and who tune in, and that's all that's needed to create and sustain interest in a TV show - hence the rumours and then the announcement.

I find it it quite amusing, however I rarely watch it as I'm usually at work. I do think they need to pay a little more thought to the animals they use though.
AH, I don't really think it is necessary to attempt to belittle those that do watch it. Maybe you think it gives you some kind of higher status just because you don't like it, silly really!

Ratter - I find it difficult to discuss the fact that people watch dumb animals being tortured and eaten alive for entertainment without being angry with the people who watch it, and contribute to the continuation of the practice.
The fact that, as I have said, these animals are not those sprayed with evolution's cologne, coupled with the fact that they are unable to register pain and distress, does not make the cruelty any less.
Would the viewing public be quite so sanguine if the producers used animals that are higher up the evolutionary chain - puppies or kittens?
Doubtful.

Ratter - offering an offensive observation does not help me to understand why you feel that I am 'belittling' anyone - except to say that you vacate the moral high ground if you are going to 'belittle' me for my view without explaining why.
So - without being rude - can you explain why you think I am 'belittling' anyone?

Not real as each one of the to be eaten creatures would like tablets have to have a warning that these might cause .drowseyness ,I'll feeling and so on .So do we really believe these cravers For publicity would have the brains to not eat then unless them being sick and having to leave give extra bit of publicity.
