Worst Christmas Viewing

Can I ask you what you thought was the worst programme on over Christmas? I think definitely Blankety Blank!! It was TRULY AWFUL. I lost the will to live in it. Him indoors disagrees. He says Birds of a Feather was worse.

As I have said on another thread, most TV today is infantile in the extreme.

I am a big fan of University Challenge, but the Xmas specials, with people competing for their Alma Maters was dreadful and completely pointless.

I have a good idea....switch the bloody goggle box off and do something more interesting, like post here on AB !

But without the real competition of the regular Teams, I just feel it was all rather pointless.

Talking of Pointless, don't get me started on daft quiz shows !

The portrait of Darcy Bussell was nice and I really enjoyed the Alan Bennett program, but they were like an oasis in the desert.

Mikey, did you see the one with Paul Ross? I had always thought of him as a bit of a lightweight but is breadth of knowledge on UC was really amazing.

Yes Danny, I did but the lack of knowledge of some of the Teams was breathtaking. As usual, I can't remember any details now but I was screaming at the telly more than once !

Blankety Blank has to be the worst programme ever devised. Even with household names like Terry Wogan, Les Dawson and Lily Savage it was still the pits.

Blankety Blank might have been a bit cheesy but it doesn't compare to TOWIE, I'm A Celebrity or Gogglebox. Now they're the pits!

tv schedule has not been great this year. but it has given me chance to catch up with friends and also watch DVD's i havent previously watched!!
