I was never big on Blue Peter I don't have the badge to prove it ;-) What little I did see of it was John Noakes ..and Shep they were great.

John Noakes would have a go at anything thrown at him a proper 'bloke' in the days when health and safety hadn't been invented. I remember him throwing himself of a tower in I think New Zealand , we would call it bungee jumping these days. It was a bamboo tower and he had a rope tied around his ankle, I'm sure I did not dream that one !

If I remember correctly he also did a drop with the Paras display team to gain the record (at the time) for the highest civilian free fall jump.

T.B.H. I've only seen Konnie Huq once and I wasn't overly impressed, she seemed OK. I didn't know about the poll, so suspect the majority of respondents are current or recent watchers. Not, therefore, a definitive poll.
