I enjoyed the first two series which were based on Jennifer Worth's memoirs, but now it's all made up.
Why would the midwives be sent to South Africa when there was plenty of work in Poplar?
No, I didn't like the South Africa thing. Enjoyed it last night though, the new nun is horrible, but wasn't that little boy with the glasses adorable, I wanted to cuddle him.
why have they demoted sister Julienne ?
Question Author
I thought the same with the boy with the glasses, such a sweet face he had
I don’t think we are meant to like the new nun.
The new nun is supposed to be disliked.
I'm not over keen on nuns at the best of times....but I really didn't like the new one......no humility there.....I have wax and pins.... ;-)

Making for a good storyline though......x
I too loved the little boy, both our daughters had to wear patches on their glasses until they had their operations, worth it in the end tho, :0) lovely eyes no turn in them at all.
My 3 kids had to wear patches. Unfortunately it wasn't successful on their eyesight.
My two still have to wear glasses tho' ummmm, the youngest had an alternate turn, which meant it moved from one eye to the other so was happy when the op. cured that, the eldest wears contacts now, so no the operation didn't help their eyesight either, but still worth having it done.rosy
Stick with it you will probably find a future Mafia involvement.
Little Tommy Finnegan is a star in the making.
