What is wrong with all the characters. A normal street does not have most of the residents being married 5 or 6 times. How many have been married just once? How many have had multiple marriages?
I love the programme and have watched it from day one.missed maybe five episodes from start. But not blinkered to faults.

I imagine if most of the characters were in long term stable relationships with steady jobs and well behaved children it would become more like 'Terry and June' than a soap opera.
