I agree. That scene was horrible. But this goes on every day, and bullies get away with it because their victims are often too scared to speak up and because the teachers or others in authority are powerless to do anything about it. Often, too, the supporters of the bullies, their "mates" and "buddies" are too scared themselves to say they don't want to be involved, because they themselves are scared of the bullies, so they go along with it so that the bullies don't turn on them. I think this is what is happening with louise in Eastenders. She knows the bullying is wrong, she feels very bad about it, but she is scared to stand up to the bullies in case they turn on her.
