Surely "every" male of a certain age lusted after Emma Peel, (M Appeal) and envied Steed ? Wanted to be just like him, but could never be that much of a cool gent.
i collect all the old stuff on dvd.....you might like to try man in a suitcase or the champions, the baron, and if you want a good laugh from the 70s there nowt much better than robins nest, man about the house, on the busses and many many more...presently watching goodnight sweetheart ( 90s ) for the umpteenth time, brilliant
Watched an episode of “U.N.C.L.E” the other night. I always thought it was a bit like Batman without the Joker. I still think that.
There’s “The Persuaders” also on at the moment. A bit Hammy but decent enough fun. Love the story about Lew Grade trying to get the thing together having told Roger Moore that Tony Curtis had agreed to do it (when he hadn’t even spoken to Curtis). Now if you really want to get me reminiscing, let’s talk about “The Prisoner”.
My late Grandfather used to look exactly like the late Patrick McCnee.
Except he Grandfather used to tune in listening for the Luftwaffe in his Lada. I like seeing the repeats they remind me of him.
Just finished watching "the prisoner" again for the umpteenth time...brilliant, have visited portmeirion several times, a magical place, have a large tattoo on my leg of the penny farthing bike with the no.6 in the middle and "the prisoner" over it, fantastic series
