I have Freeview. TV.It has approx 150 channels. There are many I never watch(or programme). How can I delete the ones I never watch?I have read the instruction book for my Samsung TV,and gone through all the sections of the remote control to no avail.
Any suggestions?
Depending on the TV/Freeview box there may be a way to remove channels/get it to ignore channels, but most allow you to mark some as favourites and then you can use that list rather than the whole range.
1,Press the Guide button on the remote.
2,Bottom of channels is Edit channels with yellow spot.
3,Press Yellow button which will show channels.
4.Put in code (1234 standard). PressEnter button which should show a X in channel boxes.
5.Press Yellow bitton to Apply.
Select menu/broadcasting/edit channel.
You will get the channel list to the right of the picture, with 4 options under the picture. Surf up and down the list and press return/ok key on the channels you don't want - this will tick a box against the channels. Move the cursor left onto
"Delete" and press return/ok key. You're done!
My thanks to all who replied to my post. The guys who sent methods of deleting stations sadly don't work.I have obviously got an old/new remote control, or one without the buttons listed.I think those that said you can only have favourites are correct,BUT it takes so long, and is so complicated that I think I will leave things as they are. Many Thanks anyway.
