Not many of us would normally look to More 4 for really decent tv, but i can strongly recommend the new series 'Outlander' which begins tonight at 9pm. I have watched series 1 and 2 (series 3 is due soon) on my Fire Stick and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beginning in 1945 just after the war has ended, Frank and Claire Randall go to Scotland on a second honeymoon where they witness women performing a ritualistic dance at an ancient standing stone circle. Claire sees some flowers which she returns to pick the next day. She touches one of the stones and is immediately whisked back in time to 1743 - the time of the Jacobite Rebellion. So begins an excellent series. Watch it and enjoy but be warned, there are scenes of a sexual nature and some violence.

Great series and even better books but you must read them in order.
I read the books some years ago and thoroughly enjoyed them so was really excited about seeing the series and I must say I wasn't disappointed.
We have been looking for another series to watch, (we have indulged in Games of Thrones, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul recently)
So as it has been recommended, I think Mr Alba and I will give that a try

Thank you
....and don't forget the excellent foreign TV series that are on All4, under the banner Walter Presents...we've watched several and all have been top-notch.
Thanks for posting this. I've recorded it.
Sorry, didn't see this post - have just asked about this series!

gingebee, like you, i have watched most of the Walter Presents productions and, as you say, many are top notch. I have just watched episodes 5, 6 and 7 of Black Widow Season 2 and will most likely complete the series tomorrow night.
Glad some of you took my advice (as regards Outlander) and appear to have enjoyed the first episode. Believe me, it gets much better:-)
