Having watched the conclusion of “The Loch” last night, I’m puzzled by two things:

1. What was it about hearing Jordan (who we had previously been led to believe was Kieran) say “Just messing about” that made Blake Albrighton realise he was the killer?

2. What was Craig Petrie supposed to be doing when he entered the locked room in his house right at the end?

He came across as manipulative and, as we all know in poor tv cop series, that's a sure sign of being a serial killer:-/
It is no good putting a heading "spoiler alert" if your spoiler is visible below the title. Good series. I enjoyed it.
I lost quite a bit of interest in it when almost an entire episode was given up on the ex-con appearing and wanting to go on a killing spree with his mate! That episode lent absolutely nothing to the story, imho. Then we had the profiler blurting out that a serial killer was on the loose and, to cap it all, we had the kid with his mother's curling bag. Yes, he said he was going curling after the visit to the power plant, but no-one questioned why he didn't leave it on the bus.
The ending was awfully cobbled together and the episode had what I call 'daftisms' e.g. car journeys that covered miles in micro seconds, the teacher looking around furtive like opening a locked door when he knew he was alone in an empty house, the legal aspects of a woman removing her spouses's kids without notice, plus that action's in built ITV anti-gay prejudice, a teenager not carrying her mobile (I mean what universe is it they live in?) the mechanics of putting a body in the Loch and weighing it down and nobody noticing. Yes folks I see part 2 coming up over the horizon!! All I wanted to do throughout though was take that wig off her head!
I started a thread about The Loch yesterday. Just called The Loch. It might be a good idea if you check before doing a new post that there isn't an existing one. Not being nasty, just pointing it out xx

Ken4155 - So, how do you suggest I compose my posting?! When I look in "TV", all I see is "Having watched the conclusion of “The Loch” last night, I’m puzzled by two things:" i.e. in order to see the rest of what I wrote, I have to actually open the posting!

hellywelly4 - thank you for your condescending remark. I read your posting, but thought it best not to put a "spoiler" in a thread that wasn't labelled "Spoiler Alert". So, following your remark, I may well post my "spoiler" in your thread!

Ken4155 - 1000 apologies, my remark was meant for Tyrion44.

Hi, SurryGuy........if you put a spoiler alert in the title as you did....then immediately make your next post the first on the thread with something innocent in it...and not giving anything away...... the whole thread can then run with those who have yet to watch not seeing anything as they scroll down the front page......

And if you find out the answers to your two questions....share! Because I'm as puzzled as you are.... :-(
Hi SurreyGuy - I think the suggestion was that you post "Spoiler alert..." as the only line in the original Q, then answer the thread to include your main points.

For example, Eve's thread at the top of "Sport" -

Sorry Gness, I should've refreshed the screen...
Okay, LiK....yours explains it better.....with an example...x
haven't seen it, yet.
Apparently it's called The Lock according to some announcers who canny speak proper like.

gness and Lie In King - thank you for your helpful postings. Now I know what to do in future. Sorry if I spoiled stuff for other people - despite what has been levelled at me, that was certainly NOT my intention.

It's a shame you can't edit stuff once you've posted it.
Did you enjoy the programme tho Surrey?

Am always willing to make my own mind up but am also willing to follow any recommendations.

There are quite a few programmes and films which seem to have 'cobbled' the endings together tho.
That's okay, Surrey......takes a while to twig that you sort of have to do two spoiler warnings.... :-)

I watched it but if I hadn't it wouldn't have spoiled it for me.....I got a bit lost.....especially the "just messing about" bit.....x
