I have plugged keyboard into usb on modem but still does not work said device not recognized I think I have wasted my money . I will get in touch with accuratus to see if I can get my money back . thanks for the help anyway. very upset old lady

I assume you mean plugged into the computer and not the router Simple thing first shut down your computer and unplug from the mains for a minute then re start
Modern computers rarely shut down completely and while they are connected to the mains the motherboard still gets power, the motherboard may need to be re booted if some corruption has occurred

I think that you need to plug it into a USB on your PC rather than your modem.

Some people get confused - they think the monitor is the computer and the computer is the modem/router.
