....was a picnic.....well it was going to be a picnic in a park..........
I love a picnic....my favourite meal out.....and I'm much more receptive to a bit of wooing if my date takes me on a picnic..... ;-)
But not in the car park of a MK shopping centre in the pouring rain..... :-(
It was lovely though......and I do have a gadget that clips my wine glass to my plate so I can eat and drink without having to juggle.......or spill stuff......
Followed by A Judgement in Stone by Ruth Rendell at the theatre.......MK Theatre is really fantastic....friendly and spacious...and good, comfy seats....a relaxing afternoon........x

I'd not read that, Ummmm.......Abington I guess then......which is the other? I like Wicksteed.....I used to live five minutes walk from there and it's lovely for an evening picnic with a bottle....or two....x

I have booked seats for this in November for myself and my best friend (of 40 years). Whilst we won't be having a picnic beforehand, we will be dining in the theatre restaurant. Our theatre Floral Pavilion in New Brighton has stunning views over Liverpool Bay. Unfortunately a picnic in November at the mercy of the winds and infamous River Mersey high tides may be even damper than a car park in Milton Keynes
Enjoy it, Parsley.......it's a sort of old fashioned whodunnit theatre outing.......
You'll have lovely views for sure.....I love your area....it has everything it seems.....
I'm back at MK in November unless I book anything beforehand...don't think I will picnic then.....a theatre dinner for a treat I think.....x

It was rebuilt a good few years ago now, and most people were concerned how the new building would fare. It has the same number of seats as the old Floral in the main auditorium, and smaller rooms with very limited seating, for a more up close and personal feeling. The new Floral has all the atmosphere of the old one.
We go to see a mystery there most years, normally Agatha Christie. They don't seem to be touring this year, so Ruth Rendell it was.

I went to Liverpool for one of my Moaning Minnies birthdays and had a great time......we pootled around on busses and fell in love with the city and the whole area......
Went on a Mersey trip and sent a text to Dave saying....on the Mersey ferry....guess what we are singing.....
He replied....theme from Titanic?..... :-)

My husband is a piano dealer and went to Gerry Marsden's house with a view to buying his piano (he didn't). Anyway the derby was on that afternoon (Liverpool, Everton) and Gerry asked my husband if he wanted to stay and watch it. Hubby couldn't stay, but very surprisingly did find out that Mr Marsden is an Evertonian!!
I hope when you visit The Wirral you have a lovely time. We have much the better view across the Mersey ; -)
