Does anyone else agree that Casualty tonight is completely ridiculous and so far fetched it's almost a comedy?

I agree 'one shot' programmes can sometimes look odd, but I didn't find it comedic.
No....I thought it was brilliantly acted.
I just kept thinking: Derek Thompson - £400,000 a year; Derek Thompson - £400,000 a year; Derek Thomps.... Why?

Some of the cast are terrible actors.
Which ones?
I wouldn't watch it if I didn't like it, I rarely miss it.
DT, for one, horselady! To paraphrase Dorothy Parker: he runs the gamut of emotions from A to B
He'll never last in the role will he?
He must have friends in high places :)

So do I normally Mamya, but not tonight. Ummm. Duffy, Robyn and Charlie are the worst in my opinion. I like Jacob and Connie the best.
Tonight's episode was 44/44 so I thought end of series for a while. It's back again in three weeks, gap due to sport on tv.
Surely they have a bigger gap than that.
I used to love Casualty about 20 years ago. Are Duffy and Charlie still there? How is the Charlie actor getting paid so much money for a wooden appearance.
The thing I noticed about the Duffy actress is that she sounded very Bristol in the first series, but has since become quite poshish.

Don't forget it was taken in one continuous shot. Yes it was recorded, but to all intents and purposes was a LIVE episode as there were no retakes or breaks. I think they did well considering.
Me too, it was all go.
They recorded 8 tapes before they got one they were happy to show.
totally agree with you, horselady, and I've seen better acting from Premiership footballers taking dives during matches
I thought the Duffy character over-acted to the point of comedy, yes. The others, I thought, did well.
I enjoyed it. Did notice there were so many extras, never seen so many 'nurses' in one episode!
didn't manage to see it last night. Is it available on catch up or some such, does any one know?
Many thanks x
