I could 'up my profile' by staggering out of a club with some Z lister flashing tomorrow's washing for anyone and everyone to see, whilst giving cheap shot interviews about 'my battle with...some made up over dramatic rubbish', but if you do that you actually become a laughing stock, which is what these fine old folk have done to themselves, that's a terrible...

And you've just given them more:-/
Embarrassing, isn't it?
I should imagine as they were saying 'We throw tellies...' and grinning they were also tapping their noses and winking.

PS quite a lot of people over 60 drink vodka too.:-)
I'd have thought they'd had enough of stuff flying through glass.

Maybe just from The Land Of Makebelieve
I think this was just a throwaway comment for the press - not intended to be taken seriously.

If any rock band can find a hotel with windows that open wide enough, or have the strength to get the flat-screen off the wall and launch it, then good luck to them!
No, not a pathetic attempt at publicity....a successful one, since they got it. You do realise that in that particular line of business, you have to "up your profile" by whatever means you can?
I think it's time they hung up their whatsits. It is rather pathetic.
I think people should be allowed to work as long as they are able and want to.

Old folk, early 60s?
gingejbee No, not a pathetic attempt at publicity....a successful one, since they got it.

Smack on, ginge.
Mercy! A foot wrong at last. Sainthood's a heavy burden.
Incidentally there's more mileage in no washing.
Yours sincerely

An 'old' folk.
Of course they are not going to throw TV's out of the windows, it's just tongue in cheek - good luck to them !
Add to that Bananarama on Norton last night - oh goodness when will our old folk just shuffle off and sit in their slippers sipping Sanatogen ;-)
providing it's legal, folk of whatever age should be able to do what they wish.

'But three decades on “The Fizz”, as they’re now known, are back on the road with a new album... and giving die-hard rockers a run for their money'

well, that's nice of them
Doubt they wrote that themselves, a field day for journos though.
A tv reviewer described Bananarama on Graham Norton's show as a 'veteran girl group'. Veteran! They're not that old, and so neither am I!
They are only in their 50's - hardly one foot in the grave !
Not sure who recalls The Zombies from the Sixties but they had two members from the band on the One Show on Friday evening - whilst looking a little zombified themselves and still dressed ala rock band, it was fun to see them and hear something from them.
what age are these whippersnappers to accuse folk in their 40/50/60's as being past it?

Obviously, they haven't had a decent upbringing....
