https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/2652209/im-a-celebrity-2017-start-date-line-up-rumours-jungle/ If this is correct it makes depressing reading. Pathetic to see James Jordan, Callum Best and Gemma Collins lined up for yet more reality TV. Collins was hopeless in the jungle a couple of years ago. Anyone else like to see a ban on reality stars appearing on reality shows other than the one that made them famous?

Yes, fed up with these overpaid wannabe's, want to see proper celebrities.

They are simply ruining TV for Inelligent People.

Intelligent . . . . ^^^^^ Good grief!!!!!
When this kind of show started I was mildly entertained by I'm a Celebrity. Now, I have no time for any of them. I've never watched even a minute of Big Brother even when everyone was talking about it. I must have missed out on lots of interesting conversations
I refuse to watch anything with James Jordan. I agree with you
I'd never heard of him before so looked him up on IMDb. He seems to have had a lot of work. He can't be that bad.
Why is he on a reality tv show when he must have made loads of money already?
There may yet be no prog if the Geordie dope fiend can't sort his life out so there's a silver lining for you.
Can't stand any reality TV shows or anything with the word 'Celebrity' in the title because most of the time they are not 'Celebrities'!
Reality TV is, as someone else said dumbing down the whole of the country. I'd love it to fizzle out but I can't see it happening anytime soon, people seem to love it. I absolutely loathe it.
Geordie dope fiend?

You mean Ant who got addicted to painkillers after a painful operation? That dope fiend?
I hope Ant is back, part of the appeal is Ant and Dec as a team. I'll be watching, looking forward to it.
Douglas, nasty comment :-(
Ant is not a dope 'fiend', he's a nice man with a problem and I, for one, hope he can get himself sorted.

And yes, I am fed up with some of the so called celebrities, particularly Gemma Collins !
Besides this I don't think I've ever read anything negative about Ant and Dec. Ant has been with his wife for 23 years. He sounds a proper wrong 'un!!

I don't watch it religiously, just occasionally, and I really like Ant & Dec.
This question comes up now and then, the main reason is that few 'A' list celebs want to go on these shows so they get their cast where they can.

Not sure why anyone is surprised at Douglas's comment, seems par for the course really.
I'm just drawing fire to give AOG some respite.

Take a pill.

I think this is the essence of 'celebrity culture' - where people who are famous for being famous simply appear on each other's programmes until television disappears up its own fundament with a loud pop.

I thought a significant moment in the development of the 'celebrity' (people who are famous, but have no discernable reason for being so) was the Big Brother featuring Chantelle Houghton.

At the time, Ms. Houghton was known only as a Paris Hilton 'look-alike' - which means she turned up at parties etc. to look like 'celebrity' Paris Hilton.

By the end of the series, at least one young lady was finding employment as a Chantelle Houghton 'look-alike' which has to be one of the most bizarre developments in the whole bizarre celebrity culture.
Andy - just thought I would direct you to this link Honey. https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/ChatterBank/Question1578961.html
