I had an email this morning to say the parcel I was expecting had been delivered and handed to the resident at my address at 10.45....
It hadn't so I checked my security camera and saw a delivery man going to next door's house but they were away for the weekend so I'd no idea where my parcel was....until.....

Next door brought me my wet and battered parcel......they'd had a note to say the parcels...she was expecting one too....had been left in the rear porch.....they have no rear porch....

Both parcels had been thrown over a locked, high wooden gate and lain all day on the wet path.....

Not knowing what was on the other side of the gate or what was in the parcels.....my goods were breakable......how can a delivery man just fire parcels over gates?

Amazon.....it says on the email.....plain white van.....speedy delivery chap....x

I emailed Amazon this morning to ask where the parcel was, Captain.....no reply.

My neighbours are away often so I'm just glad they came back tonight and found it as I'd not had a note other than the email saying he'd handed it to me......x
I have had parcels left on doorstep in plain view of anyone who felt like picking them up..despite a large notice on the door to leave next door if no answer...also have found parcels in the bushes out front..weeks later...no note through door... and once a laptop left under the car..no note through door, just good fortune it was spotted before being squashed....all..YODEL...
This time of the year they'll use anybody with a Transit sized van, gness.

I see, Tony....I haven't checked yet that my goods do work....they look okay but the boxes are battered and I wanted them for gifts.... :-(

Annoying, Minty.....our numbers follow on rather than being odds one side and evens the other...but my house is clearly numbered.....x
Wow! Look how little they charge for delivery, I can shop from home and save all the hassle with crowds, parking and all that jazz.

As someone who's no stranger to the 'Transit sized van' I'd suggest that one gets exactly what one pays (or doesn't) for.

Have also had the "handed to resident" on the tracking info..excuse me.no it wasn't !! temp delivery drivers employed for Christmas and theft has been widely reported....was a bit in the paper yesterday about it...

Oh well....had they stolen this, Minty they'd have had three gadgets that make your toilet bowl glow different colours in the dark....
As much a surprise as the thief who took the parcel from my doorstep and got a packet of pork scratchings.... :-)
lol..saw those loo lights on Groupon... was thinking it may improve oh's night vision ! lol
Minty they'd have had three gadgets that make your toilet bowl glow different colours in the dark....

How does that work then, gness ?.
Question Author
Just a little gadget with a tiny bulb.....it hangs over the toilet bowl and is movement sensitive....notice I avoided saying motion sensitive...and when you go into a dark bathroom the toilet lights up brilliantly...
Good fun and amusing and could aid aim, Minty..... ;-)

That's the one, Ginge thank you.....I paid less than that though....stocking fillers and little Secret Santas......but I do have two in my house....x
Ah I see, gness.

Good fun and amusing and could aid aim, Minty..... ;-)

Is there a target to aim at though, gness ;-)
Cool. I like the Blue.
Question Author
Paid about £6 for mine, Minty......so they arrived in time and from the UK.....x
I've had the same problems with Yodel, parcels left at our 5 bar gate and the beginning of our drive in the rain when we were Sat in waiting for the delivery, it had been out in the rain for over 3 hours, we even have a doorbell on the gate so they don't even have to open the gate. Parcel ruined!!!
