Can't watch it tonight .why do they have to show the scenes about Alfie .brings back sad memories when I had to have my lab put to sleep .

You never forget them them do you? It's nearly nine years since we lost Max and even now we sometimes see or hear something that brings every thing rushing back.

That is very true my lab was my rock he knew my every move what I was doing and knew if he was coming in car .fetched the mail form post man and in his later years when he could not walk far the postman used to take him up and down the paths of the row of houses in my cul de sac. Oh dear the tears are coming .i light a candle when I think of him beside his photo .

I finally took the decision to have Toby put to sleep last Tuesday. I miss him terribly but it was the right, thing to do.

Chrissal light a candle for him .i assure you it will make you feel better knowing what you are doing for him .its been 6 years for me but I still sense. him at times.

The dog is actually being written out of Emmerdale because he is going deaf.

Why should it not be shown - pets die as do people, its a fact of life. Nothing worse than hearing of people who keep pets going longer than they should out of their own selfishness. Something we all have to face if we love our pets and it was done very sympathetically even if it was to give them an excuse not to move.
