What??? MacGuyver was awesome. I was convinced as a kid that it was only a question of finding the right measurements and I could make a bomb out of a carrot, some baking powder, batteries and a pair of old shoes.

I believe that he was killed. It was a cabbage fired by someone in the A-team that missed its intended target and overshot into another early-evening staple on a different channel. McGuyver fell backwards into his own jury-rigged machine and was instantly macramed out of existance. Sorry to reveal such a downer of an ending.
