I know they filmed a "Wrap up" special which has been shown in Australia, and I believe that the show has now been picked up by a rival Australian TV network
Have any ABers any news as to whether the BBC is to show these shows?

Also, it looks like there's a new show called "The Frankie Drake Mysteries" due on Alibi, made by the Murdoch Mysteries team (new series now airing), so look out for this.....

Dr Blake Mysteries has been shown on BBC1 i believe, i quite liked the ones i saw.
We enjoyed the Dr Blake Mysteries too, emmie, especially as we know Ballarat very well, but maybe with the controversy surrounding Craig McLachlan I don't know if the new series will be produced.
is Craig the one who plays Dr Blake, if so what controversy?
A shame if it's not continued - there are very few vacancies for inert lumps of wood in the acting profession, but this series seemed entirely cast from them ...
come on SD they are not that bad, i have seen a lot worse.
I liked the episodes of Doc Blake which I saw.

SD, a tad harsh? :-)

What controversy? (I must have missed it - usually do)
I once spent a couple of days in an apartment where the only English speaking channel was showing them back-to-back. Normally I don't watch much TV (if any) whilst on holiday, but I was quite poorly and needed some diversion - I wasn't impressed ...
back to back? oh lawdy :-(

Don't know if that should have speeded your recovery or made you feel worse.
I rose from my bed (or sofa) of pain and resumed normal activities at the point where they stopped the back-to-back Dr Blake and started a seemingly endless series of 'Vera' ... it was definitely an incentive to recover.
Sorry ...sleep intervened .....yes, McLachlan plays Dr Blake ....and in the past few days, there's been a bit of a rumpus here in li'l ole Adelaide ....the Rocky Horror Show is being staged here with Craig as FNF .....and some of his co-stars from a previous run have accused him of some very inappropriate behaviour, McLachlan has left the show, strenuously denying all claims but .....I would suggest we may not see too much more of Dr Blake in future.
It seems that the BBC's intent is a mystery.
