Virgin Media: Is There A 30 Day Disconnection Period
4 Answers
Hi I am an existing customer with virgin and have been for many years with just phone and broadband. I do not have a contract as it has expired months ago. I am looking around and virgin do a £32 per month deal for phone and broadband but apparently I can't have it as I am an existing customer. I said ok I have no contract so disconnect me and then start me as a new customer on the £32 per month contract. They then said there is a minimum of a 30 day disconnection period before you can be reconnected with the same company. I pointed out again that I have no contract but the virgin person insisted you have to not be a customer for 30 days before re connection. Is this true? I am sure if this is a load of rubbish but if true I will simply take my business elsewhere. Any truth in this?

Bear in mind, you do need to give 1 months notice when you leave .... I found out the hard way, as I was billed for the extra month .... but I fought tooth and nail and managed to get it back, as I argued that they didn't inform me of this when I rang up :)
