24 - Alternative Ending

The video and DVD of '24' all boast about the alternative ending. Can anybody give me a brief summary of what it is?

Nothing exciting I'm afraid. Jack Bauer finds his wife Teri has been shot but this time she doesn't die

Don't mean to be fussy, but are you sure Teri Bauer was shot in the alternative ending? If she was, surely she would have been carried out of the room by Jack, instead of walking out with Jack and Kim (who arrives on the scene later).
