At last a win for contestants bet Anne was sorry she offered a big amount usually they only win when a small amount is won, the barmaid was a bit thick.
There were 2 in the final.
Earlier in the game, Anne found out that one of the contestants would go big if she offered him £36 000 when it came to his turn ..... so when his turn came, she offered him £35 999. Bradley said if he took it and they won, he'd pay him the extra quid ..... which he duly did at the end.
I think they won £41 999 plus the quid off Bradley (or it might be £42 999 plus the quid - can't quite remember).
Is that ^^ a crime? I grew up at a Riding Stable so knew what it was but if you've never had any contact with horses and no interest in horsey things, why would you know?
Some shows have auditions. My OH went on 15 to 1 and had an audition.
The shows that pay out prize money don't necessarily want lots of clever people on as they'd lose a lot more money.
Don't these 'thick' people realise they are thick, surely they watch the programme and can't get many right - who in their right mind would go on a national tv quiz show and make themselves look foolish? Then say 'it was before my time' when they get something wrong - its general knowledge not just what has happened since you were born.
Ha yes, lankeela, the 'before my time' excuse really winds Ken Bruce up on his Popmaster quiz. I think he once replied to someone who'd just said it " Shakespeare's before your time, have you heard of him?"
