At last, Pat Phelan has gone! I must admit my heart was beating a bit during tonight's episodes. Wondering if Eileen was going to go or not. Glad to see the back of him. He is a great actor to stir up the emotion of hate he generated.

Yes he was/is a good actor. Corrie spoilt it by keeping the storyline going too long putting everyone off.

Knowing how the soaps work though (and thinking specifically of Dirty Den in Eastenders), give it another 14 years and he might yet return from the grave ;-)

I half expected the closing shot to be of him stood watching the action with that smirk on his face, having climbed out somehow. Terrific actor.

He's bound to have survived that. (Remember what Billy survived!)

But as the actor is leaving the show they will probably leave it like that for now but, of course, should he wish to return at a later date......

Yes all a bit of an anticlimax after all the build up.

What proof have the police got that Phelan was the killer?

Will Eileen be questioned over the death of Phelan? after all, it could be said that she is responsible for Phelan's death.

it was hysterical when the two lads were bashing away at the concrete the cops came arrested them then all of sudden one cop found not a bit of black plastic sticking out but a whole foot lol did nobody see this beforehand oh dear.. but its soapland

Why wasn't Eileen taken to a police station to be questioned about how Phelan came to 'fall' into the water?

Shame Connor McIntyre has left: best actor in this by a country mile (and so much better than Sue Cleaver, who I thought struggled with the final scenes with him).
