Has tonight’s ITV propaganda programme, sorry public relations exercise, sorry documentary convinced you that Camilla, the third person in Princess Diana’s marriage, is actually a good egg after all and deserves to be our future Queen ?

I read a while ago that Clarence House has removed all reference from its website to Camilla remaining a Duchess when Charles becomes king.

Well bypassing won't happen and given the Queen's age, its sensible for her to drive (or at least sanction) a campaign to make Charles and Camilla more acceptable. Whether it succeeds is another matter.

I've not watched it - but I think Camilla has become generally accepted now. She's a nice lady.

I am beginning to think she was more sinned against than sinning....I bet the Queen wishes she hadn't listened to "The Establishment" I think she may be accepted as a Duchess, but as Queen? Not sure.

I knew someone who met her while working for the osteoporosis charity. They described her as very down to earth, and friendly. I've never minded the past stuff, I think there were a lot more than three in that marriage and I suspect more than a couple were Diana's.

The docu was clearly at pains to point out that Camilla was the wronged woman in her first marriage and that Andrew Parker Bowles was cheating on her

I actually think she is a better match for Charles than Diana ever was..breeding stock... and naive to think he would not stray ..it's what the aristocracy does... she comes across as being a nice down to earth person and she ought to be Queen consort when the day comes...

I like her. I much prefer her to Diana. I didn't watch the programme though.

She will legally become queen consort, in accordance with English common law, if Charles becomes king. Clarence House stated on the occasion of their wedding in 2005 that Camilla would adopt the style of Princess Consort, but there is no legal or historical precedent for such a title.
That ^^^ I would find acceptable, But Queen? No Way.

Camilla always seems to come across well, in a quiet understated way, i think shes done well and is far better suited than Diana.

I think she comes across as an extremely nice person and would like to see her become Queen.

I've always liked her, she has much more about her than Diana. Charles obviously adores her and her him and they are obviously very happy together. Plus the boys adore her as well so it's said. I don't think she's bothered about being Queen at all but Charles certainly is. And please don't wish poor Wills and family be pushed into taking over before their proper time. Let them enjoy their children and family life and not put them in the straightjacket of 'reigning' just yet.
If the Queen Mother and her cohorts hadn't pushed Charles into marrying Diana the whole sorry mess could have been avoided.
