Thursday. It's dry this morning. That ought to be a banner headline in the local rag! Yesterday, we had rain and sun. It's cloudy, but not so cold this morning. We've been promised some summer, I hope they weren't telling porkies!

Got some out and about to do today, so I hope it's nice.

I'm just watching wives being taught driving by their husbands, some tempers lol. I could never drive, I don't know how people face the road.

In army days one of my jobs was a driving instructor. We used to do evening classes for wives and children of soldiers. Once they passed their test we gave post test instruction. Things like motorway driving, night driving, skidpan driving, changing a wheel etc.

I think all that should be done in civvy street too.

I do enjoy a pint or two, a glass of wine, a drop of Irish whiskey etc. but never take it to extremes.

The church square is so busy most times. Parking for the shoppers, the odd funeral or marriage, and every evening something going on in the village centre. Slimming world, Brownies, Cubs, Scouts and Guides. Monday is bell ringing. Tonight, Thursday, it's pipe band practice and dog training classes. Oh what joy living next to a church. Love it.

'morning, just downstairs for a drink, forgot to take one up last night.
Looks like a decent enough day in the making, dry and, so far, clear.
Dogs will welcome a decent run, didn't get one yesterday too wet, never miss more than one day though, even if the second one is wet as well.
