Has anyone else been getting problems with Sky films? Some of the channels that are usually included in the package have recently been requiring a pin to view. Last night it was the horror channel, but some of the others located in the same area, such as TCM, have been doing the same. It's not constant. When you tune in later the channels are back to normal.

That happened to me as well. The only thing I can think of, is that the pin was required for parental control?, if the film was for over 18's, not really sure.

There has recently been a software update downloaded to Sky digiboxes (you may have noticed that the menus are now light blue).

I also noticed that occasionally the parental control "kicked in" on random channels even though I have not enabled this function. I found that after rebooting the digibox (switch off mains power for at least 30 seconds then power on) that this behaviour has not recurred.

Another update is scheduled at the end of Nov to rearrange the channels in the EPG.

I have been told by Sky that the pin no. for these films are the last four digits on your Sky card. Haven't tried it yet but will do next time this happens. Hope this helps.

Liz.

it is a parental control feature.i have sky+ and if i want to watch a 15 rated prog before watershed it will ask me for my pin,if i watch it after watershed then it plays as normal.
