Agree, I loved it too. Hilarious scene when Mrs Durrell was tipsy and had to go to meet the prospective headmistress, "why can't Gerry bring his dog, I can assure you he is fully free of flees and that's not easy for me to say" finished off with a loud burp. Keeley Hawes is a delight in the role.

It is such a lovely drama, sad at the end when Spiro wife came back though, thought he and Louisa would get together, felt sorry for Lesley finding the baby not his aswell, hopefully it will be back next year.

It should be. It is set in 1937 at the moment and the Durrells left Corfu in 1939 when war broke out.
