Hazy lazy days, young and full of energy.

i went to live in Gibraltar in 76 it was hotter here ,I love the hot summers ,people pay hundreds to go abroad for this weather x
Remember it very well, it wouldn't bother me now in my situation but would be difficult for many to cope with.
I was 10 at the time and remember it well, spent a few weeks with relatives in London. Got memories of feeling suffocated on the Underground Trains and even more suffocated when hitting the heat again above ground.
A little too hot that was....
My OH was born 01 June that year and the hot weather hadn't arrived at that point. My cousin was born 13 June that year and had to go back into hospital after a few days as she was so badly dehydrated.

My wife was heavily pregnant with our second child in 76. She found the heat unbearable. She was so large with excessive umbilical fluid/water to protect the baby who was born on 4th August with a tan...
I loved it at the time and soaked up the sun as often as I could. Now I can't stand it and keep out of it as much as possible.
Funny how you change over the years.
God it was tough being pregnant in the freezing depths of winter but it was preferable to being pregnant in this heat. I'd have never got through it.
Ah the summer of '76 !! I remember it well.
No
We will all be moaning about the snow, cold and rain in a few months....
Remember that Summer well ...I was a chef at the time thank god for a big walk in freezer in the kitchen area ...

I hope they had the air con on, denton
Indeed we will, Nailit. Although I wouldn't swap this weather for the cold weather. At least you can get out an about in this. Have a picnic, not have to burn fuel at a rate of knots to keep yourself from getting frostbite and your pipes from bursting.

If we had to live 365 days a year with either one extreme or the other, I'd take the heat any day. And I'd move to the coast. :-)
No, I was 2, but my mum was pregnant with my sister and struggled. I remember 2003 being really hot as I was pregnant then.
Yes. I was in Devon and it was bliss. Would love another one like that
In too much pain at the time,Bazile to notice
My son was born at the end of June 1976 and like David's wife, I found it hard so yes I remember it very well. Like Ladybirder, I loved the sun (when not pregnant) but keep out of it now. Yes, how times change.
