I caught the end of "The Chase" yesterday when the last contestant contributed £1000 to the prize fund. One contestant had been eliminated and the total prize fund was £7002. The other two contestants had contributed £6002 between them. How much had each contributed?

I think it was £6,000 and £2

Thank you, goodgoalie. I suspected it must have been something like that.
Yes, he was offered £2, £2000 or £20000 and took the £2 to get back to try to get a share of the lady’s winnings. I don’t think he even contributed to the final chase
1) £6.000
2) £1,000
3)£2.

The £2 was from a male nurse from Sheffield who's intelligence left my in dread of the nursing profession.
Think Bradley said something similar!
Don't they have to do auditions to get on these shows?

The Chaser said something along the lines of "Even your Team Mates are going to be rooting for me to win this one"
Goodgoalie, the show gives money as prizes. They don't want a load of brainboxes on.
There probably is an audition. OH went to an audition before appearing on 15 to 1. I think they're looking for personalities rather than intelligence. Oops, what have I just said about my OH? He is clever, too, honest :)
The Chase has a silly format. Contestants have to win it 3 times to get the money. My daughters' teacher won over £13,000 in a quiz that I can't remember the name of, but he had to sit in a glass cage and was asked questions by Kirsty Wark. It was a record win for that prog at the time. He gave it all to his daughter for uni. He used to win loads of money on those quiz machines in pubs until they started to recognise him.
