Jim texted Johnny tonight. Err he's only known him a few days, why, on earth, wpuld he have his number?

In Eastenders last week Ruby texted Stacey after not seeing her for many years. Did she still have Staceys number? And would Stacey still have the same number after all those years if she even had a mobile back then.

Anything to do with 'soaps' comes under the heading of 'deus ex machina' or so I've always found :)
Don't think too hard about it. :-)

It's not hard to get hold of someones number in the days of facebook etc....
yep I thought and said same thing, also they hate each other so why have numbers each others numbers

I dont put my number on Facebook. Would doubt Johnn do Facebook.
With regard to texts, I have a 32" screen - which is probably small these days. The phone and message are shown on the screen but I am unable to read it. Does anyone else have the same problem?
How dare they fabricate such nonsense.
It's on his business card for the pub. Obviously. Jim's name didn't come on the text from what I recall.
Question Author
Soli, yes that infuriates me too.
I have quite a big TV 45inch i think but still cant see texts.

i end up rewinding and get up to stand by the TV if i can be bothered.

Also you are not looking at the screen the whole time, you might just look away for a sec and miss it.
Can anyone tell me what the text to Johnny said please?
The text said something like "£50 or I tell Jenny about you and Liz"
Sorry £50K
Johnny's mobile number is on the pub's Quiz Night poster!
Ah, thanks Caran. What a daft storyline this is.
I've often exchanged numbers quickly with someone, so I'm not sure that the fact Jim had only known Johnny a few days has any relevance.
I don't! Only family and close friends have my number. Why would you give it to anyone else?
Why not? Have you never been asked for a phone number when filling in forms?
Darcy I have only ever had one mobile number since first having a phone and I know my daughter is the same. Is that really so unusual I wonder?
Question Author
Yes i know what you mean Ladybirder, but cant believe young girls like them would have the same phone.
Phones may change but the number can stay the same.

I have had my mobile number for 23 years although this must be about the 7th handset. :o)
Why not Ummmm? Because I don't want all sorts of randoms or sales people ringing me up. I give my landline if a number is really necessary.
