Just turned on when the bereaved families were entering the Royal Albert Hall. Is anyone able to identify the beautiful piece of music that was playing as they walked down the steps. Many thanks
I've just checked on iplayer and it was definitely NOT Hallelujah. Nothing on the subtitles either. It was lovely music, a choir singing quietly in the background.
Oh yes sorry, I thought you meant when the families came down the steps carrying photos of their ancestors, but it was later than that, I agree very beautiful music, but no idea what it was.
Hmmm...if I'm not mistaken, other performers were also applauded. This *was* a FESTIVAL of Remembrance...which in my mind indicates that it's not totally solemn.
Also my Wife and I were talking about this this morning. In years gone by two children a boy and girl chosen previously have brought a wreath from children everywhere and presented it to the president of the British Legion.Didn't see this happen this year, anyone know why?
