I missed Peter Jackson’s documentary earlier this month, and it’s not on Virgin’s “Catch Up” TV.

Is iPlayer the only source to see it now?

it was only on iPlayer for a week, and that ran out a day or two ago. They did publicise this in advance; I think I mentioned it on AB myself.

It was very impressive.

sounds better than it was - but still to be looked forward
as with a lot of the Great War remembrance - the interpretation of the bright young things with the Technology ans straight from uni. wont be in step with your grandfathers memories.

that is you are treated to colourised film and a reinterpreted commentary - they have green grass in the trenches and I thought oo er I dont think it was like that.

Necessarily the film parts are scrappy and the writers dont have the wherewithal to weave it into a narrative.

Even how the war ended has been extensively rewritten over the last forty years.
