Saw Consultant from diabetes ward today and as soon as bed is available on his ward she will be transferred there. She's a bit *** of that she's staying in hospital but ha ho They are going to try and look at different meds aswell and they have lots of different and non portable test equipment available on his ward. Consultant brought a couple of nurses with him that did some initial tests which were ok, so she's a bit of a mystery at the moment, giving another litre of saline solution as her blood ph is still very low. When I left a doctor was trying for the third time to get some bloods from her, Jen being x nurse of 34years standing saying why not try this vane - I left them to it. Will update again when I have more information tomorrow. Only thing I didn't take for her today was her flip flops - obvious thing to take? lol Thanks for your interest and concern xx
Hi all latest update Jen is fine, got moved to specialist diabetes ward today so just more tests. Its getting really difficult for them to take bloods at the moment, just cannot find a decent vein, its starting to really hurt her when they try and find one. We both suggested they put another canular in and take bloods from that but they say they want it fresh.
