Just stuck the TV on and Mary Poppins is on.
I have given it ten minutes and feel the urge to ask...

Why and how do people over the age of 8 watch this stuff?

Easily and because it’s good clean innocent fun
Well, I'm over eight....and don't put the TV on until there is something on that I want to watch.....
Must admit, it is hard viewing, but i have found just a spoonful of sugar helps. I'll get me coat.
ginge; shouldn't eat so much then!
I could watch it with children but not alone.

Miracle on 34th Street is on Ch5
Because its magical!

Like my bix of chocolates, and my port and lemon, its way too sweet but a proper Christmas treat.
ooops

Channel 4
Lots of people watch it for the nostalgia, with their kids or even on their own.

You are a cheery little Christmas elf aren't you Talbot ...
I tried to get Little Tigs to watch it but he's not interested so he is now watching Despicable Me 2. It's on ITV2+1.

Little Tigs sounds like a very discerning little chap.
He is indeed as well as being very picky :o)
My germs and I are enjoying it :-)

All it takes is tuppence from you.

Feed the birds, tuppence a bag, tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag.
Watch 'SOB' instead, the puppies come out to play in that....
Hope it's not bread that is tuppence a bag. The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds said it holds little nutritional value and suggested instead giving them a range of alternatives, including cake crumbs, crushed biscuits, grated cheese, leftover jacket potatoes, breakfast cereal, overripe strawberries and porridge oats. But that may cost more than tuppence.

Then, of course, there's the bag. With the ban on plastic carrier bags in effect and everybody being encouraged (courtesy, mainly, of the Daily Mail) to stop "poisoning the oceans" with their waste, it might be better if customers took their own more respectable (preferably reusable) receptacles in which to be served their goods.

Life was far simpler in 1964.

I don't and if that particular song has just been on then I'm afraid I missed it. (the veg won't prepare itself)
It's my favourite film of all time, closely followed by The Sound Of Music.

Bliss...
And who on Earth has a plethora of "leftover jacket potatoes" sufficiently large to feed the birds? In fact, I cannot ever recall having even one leftover jacket potato. I cook two and Mrs NJ and I eat them both (with baked beans, usually).

Why am I not surprised?
