Women football commentators. Why?

I just love the prim and proper people on this web site. :o) Thanks to Spicerack for voting my response as best answer. A lot of the things I post on here are just tongue in cheek but that gets lost in the medium of black and white. Hey ho!

In our modern society, it is not a good idea to promote the notion that only men actually understand sport, and girlies should stick to what they know, which is not football.
As the husband of a long-term season ticket holder and football fanatic, I think women have every right to be as passionate about any sport as men, and deserve to be represented by women who can observe and comment on any game in the same way that any man can.

Yeah, that's probably why you're the only person to mention it.

Nobody has said otherwise. Why would you mention it?
// and deserve to be represented by women//
You've got me there. I didn't realise the women commentators were commentating for other women.
// who can observe and comment on any game in the same way that any man can.//
But they can't, which was the whole point of the thread before it got hijacked by the usual hypocrites.

Have to agree, the female match day commentators just seem to want to cram in as many words as possible in the short time, and their voices tend to get higher and higher as they rush to get all their words out. I love the excitement that men bring to their commentating and its a lot clearer than most of the females. Do like Gabby though, and Claire in her own field. (I'm a female Tottenham fan btw)
