Spending a quiet Sunday afternoon, drinking an excellent glass of red and watching a couple of re-runs of the brilliant Father Brown adaptations.

I idly wondered if there was going to be a new series in 2019 and was delighted to find that it starts on Monday 7th January (with ten new episodes over the following fortnight) :

Can you start watching it in the middle (say from series 4) or do you need to have seen all the other episodes?

Sherr - you can start at any point - each episode is self-contained.

Some characters (especially the dim policeman) change between series but there aren't any 'running story lines' that need to be followed in strict sequence.

Good final episode of this series, written by the reliable Kit Lambert - and I was pleased to see that I was right about Flambeau making an appearance.
Yes, I thought Bunty was looking more voluptuous. Bet others noticed, too, eh s-d?!

Idly channel surfing and getting to the very big numbers I found a channel called Talking Pictures and they were showing Family at War from the 1970s, we used to watch it when it was first on.
