Noisy News

Why on earth do the news programmes insist on broadcasting live from their encampments outside the Houses of Parliament, when we can't hear what is being said because it's drowned out by the shouting and bell-ringing of the flag-wearing morons? I just turn it off - I can't be the only one.

It's not 'an outside broadcast' - it's a reporter standing in the snow telling me that it's snowing.
I also don't need a reporter standing outside every day to confirm that the sun has risen!
It's the pointlessness of it, coupled with the fact that all the major station news broadcasts do it every year - why do they bother!!!!!

I understand the need for information, but putting someone outside in the snow and then filming them telling me it's snowing is not giving me information, it's giving me information with redundant pointless expensive images.
As I say every year - just tell me where it's snowing, I can do the rest. If it's snowing where I am, and I want to see what it looks like, I can glance out of the window, if I want the full effect, I can go and stand outside, I don't need a reporter on my tv doing it - it's completely pointless and really irritating.

ummmm: Isn't that the point? If the forecasts are not reliable anyway, why put somebody outside to tell us fibs? My local town is on a hill. We can have thick snow in one area but nothing in another. Should there be an outside broadcast from each individual neighbourhood?
