Dancing On Ice’s Jane Danson stretchered off rink after fainting hours before live show
Jane Danson has clobbered herself on the Dancing On Ice rink, after she fainted today just hours before the live show was set to begin.
The Corrie star, 40, was seen lying on the ice with punters, including who appeared to be dancing partner Sylvain Longchambon, standing over her, before paramedics rushed to get her off the ice for treatment.
The actress was seen being lifted into an orange stretcher as she was carried off the ice, lying on her side in images taken from the side of the studio.
Reps for the show confirmed: ‘[Jane] has been assessed by show medics and is now resting ahead of the performance.’
While Jane’s current state isn’t confirmed, reps added ‘all of the celebrities take to the ice to perform in Fairytale week’, hinting Jane has made a full recovery.
She’s remained silent on social media, however fans have wished her a speedy recovery.
It’s the second nasty spill we’ve seen from a Dancing On Ice competitor in a week, after Gemma Collins faceplanted during her live performance in a dance viewers won’t be forgetting any time soon.
Towards the end of her routine with skating partner Matt Evers to Celine Dion’s classic It’s All Coming Back To Me, Gemma lost her balance and her face met the ice, leaving the studio audience (and those watching at home, let’s be honest) gasping in horror.
The Towie star was no quitter though, as she took a brief moment to compose herself after Matt helped her to get up. While she may have scored the lowest on the board yet again, she completed the routine like a pro, with a smile on her face.
Then yesterday Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton said hi to the ice in her own horrific way, revealing her painful injuries that added another notch to the celebrity injury tally.
The 34-year-old singer was involved in a fall during rehearsals with partner Alex Demetriou, resulting in some major bruising across her jaw.
Taking to Instagram, Melody also stated the accident had left her barely able to move her arms.
She wrote: ‘I’m just working on staying positive. I gotta try to find a way to get through this performance on Sunday. If I look good, I don’t feel good.’
Wes Nelson also sparked fears of bowing out the competition after a knee injury.
Stay safe out there, guys!
Dancing On Ice returns 6pm on ITV.
