If he was to say that it is not 'his England' because it has been over-run by foreign criminal scum seeking handouts blah blah blah … - then yes, he would be a racist.
Racism involves denigrating a person or group based on their ethnicity only - it's that simple.

It's in our DNA to want to be close and comfortable with our own tribe.
That is true of White, Black, Brown, Yellow, Protestant, Catholic, Hindu, Muslim, Chelsea fan, Spurs fan, Socialist, Comservative, Army versus Navy versus Air Force, Northerners versus Southerners, Rich versus Poor, and the list goes on and on and on.
And then along comes some politician with visions of social engineering, and we find inclusiveness and multiculturalism being stuffed down our throats, and it simply does not work.

That's an interesting point and not one I would always agree with.
I wonder why it is then that as soon as mankind discovered modes of travel they set off to find foreign lands and new people - often to conquer as much as learn about.
Maybe the next step is a cry to uninvent the wheel etc?

Talbot - I've only been to Germany once when I was a teenager and I found it lovely, but different times back then.
I find people get irritated by the elderly taking too long to pay for their food in the supermarket, children having melt downs, stuck in traffic etc etc.
We may be tolerant of immigrants and welcoming but not tolerant of day to day activities.

"No Muslims or Africans ever went first to the the North or South poles, or scaled Everest."
No indeed, but it was a Nepalese Buddhist who scaled Everest equal first, if we are to believe the account of Edmund Hilary who always refused to say which of them actually set foot on the summit first.
And the Eskimos who inhabited the Northern Polar region long before Amundsen ever set snow-shoe there were into animism and shaminism, or doesn't that count?
